Love and Theft and Taylor Swift Make Billboard.com’s ‘Critics Picks: 20 Best Songs of 2012′

2012 is coming to a close and Billboard has just released the “Critics Picks: 20 Best Songs of 2012.” Making the list were two Country acts, including Taylor Swift’s “Begin Again” and Love and Theft’s “Angel Eyes.” The list also includes songs from Bruce Springsteen, Usher, Carly Rae Jepsen and more.

The past year was a banner year for Taylor, who released her latest record-breaking album, Red. “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” the debut single from Red earned Taylor several nominations for the GRAMMYs. Taylor is also nominated for a number of World Music Awards. She will be kicking off 58 show ‘Red Tour’ early next year.

Love and Theft has also had an amazing year. They released their self-titled sophomore album and hit their first No.1 with “Angel Eyes.” On top of being a part of Jake Owen’s highly successful CMT Tour, they are currently climbing the charts with their more recent single, “Runnin’ Out Of Air.” But 2012 hasn’t been all work and no play. Recently, the boys took time to prank Owen with buddies Florida Georgia Line right after Jake became a first time father. One half of the duo, Eric Gunderson, is also expecting a baby boy in 2013!
