After years of writing and performing, Runaway June has released their debut album, Blue Roses.

In ten empowering and honest songs, the group, comprised of Jennifer Wayne, Naomi Cooke and Hannah Mulholland give a perfect musical introduction to their three-piece band.

“The big theme through our music and the record is we want to be really honest, we want to be really real. We only really want to sing things that connect with us personally that we know are going to connect with other people,” Cooke shared with Sounds Like Nashville of the project recently

In anticipation of their “four-year labor of love,” the women came together to create art in a new way. The chosen medium was canvas, and Runaway June set out to recreate their album artwork (which was originally designed by Mulholland) as best they could — and in only 15 minutes! Complete with paint, markers and fake hair, the women got to work in order to make a 3-D masterpiece.
