Nashville is making its way to New York City with the unveiling of the Ryman Hospitality Group’s new endeavor to create a restaurant and music venue in the heart of it all: Times Square.

The Ryman Hospitality Group is creating an event space called The Opry City Stage in one of the busiest parts of the Big Apple to increase the tourism into Nashville and getting country music fans in touch with the most iconic venue of the genre in a different metropolis. The expansion may soon be spread to other cities across the United States, including Las Vegas, Orlando and San Francisco.

One of the biggest features to attract guests to The Opry City Stage will be the simulcast of actual Grand Ole Opry performances that happen night after night. Fans will be able to hang out at the restaurant and see the live concerts from the Circle right in the Manhattan mix.

Partnering up with the Bluebird Café, the venue will feature four floors total with the fourth floor being the home to performances from local songwriters who want to give it a shot at a Nashville-style round.

Ryman Hospitality has not only launched this new business endeavor outside of Music City, but has given back to the upgrading of venues in downtown Nashville such as the Ryman Auditorium and Wildhorse Saloon.

There is no set date for the opening of The Opry City Stage as of yet, but country music fans on the East Coast can get their hopes up high for country music coming to the Empire State of Mind.
