Whether you’ve been a longtime Luke Bryan fan or you’re new to the Bryan Brigade, you probably have your favorite song…or maybe even a few favorites. We have some song suggestions to ensure that your Luke Bryan music collection is complete, and we give you a good argument for why these tracks should be a staple in your playlist.

“Country Man” –  from I’ll Stay Me
Written by Luke Bryan, Galen Griffin, and Patrick Jason Matthews
Not his first single, but our first glimpse into what Luke Bryan might really be like. Uptempo, fun and a little cheesy, but in a good way, you can almost hear the laugh on the tip of his tongue. And it certainly caused a surge in the personal ads for women seeking men who could salt cure a ham.

“Do I” – from Doin’ My Thing
Written by Luke Bryan, Dave Haywood, and Charles Kelley
Up until this point, Luke was just a handsome, talented country boy with deep Georgia roots, but when he collaborated with the fellas from Lady Antebellum for this brooding, tortured love song, Luke’s sex appeal was brought to the surface. Thank you record gods. Seriously. Thank you.

“Rain Is A Good Thing” – from Doin’ My Thing
Written by Luke Bryan and Dallas Davidson
With his first No.1 single, Luke proved his propensity for getting boots on the hardwoods and drinks in the air. He also gave us all a good reason to love the rainy season, whether you are a farmer, love a farmer or love the farmer’s produce. Let the rain fall and let the fermentation begin.

“Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” – from Tailgates & Tanlines
Written by Luke Bryan and Dallas Davidson
Country girls have always known how cool they are – they effortlessly wear cowboy boots with wedding dresses, go deer hunting without chipping their fresh French manicure and abide by the mantra “the higher the hair, the closer to God.” After this mega-smash, even high-falootin’ city girls hit the stores for boots and Daisy Dukes.

“I Don’t Want This Night to End” – from Tailgates & Tanlines
Written by Luke Bryan, Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins, and Ben Hayslip
This team of Georgia songwriters knew how to meld popular culture with country music in five words: “you got your hands up.” That got the attention of every concert and party goer who had may have never been exposed to country music. Half of the draw of this smash, though, was the video. The first in a two-part micro-series, it shows superstar Luke falling for an attractive concert attendee. It also harkens back to the Travis Tritt trilogy of videos telling the story of Mac Singleton. Look ‘em up.

“Drunk On You” – from Tailgates & Tanlines
Written by Rodney Clawson, Chris Tompkins, and Josh Kear
Remember that whole “sexy” thing? Yeah, that. Lyrically, “Drunk On You” oozes sexuality, from the drip of honey on the money maker (uh…what?) to taking it off on out in the water. Boom-boom, baby! The video for “Drunk On You” also finished telling the story of a fictitiously single Luke who had fallen for a concert goer. Fictitiously single, ladies.

“That’s My Kind of Night” – from Crash My Party
Written by Dallas Davidson, Chris DeStefano, and Ashley Gorley
There was definitely a love-hate relationship with Luke’s seventh #1, and while it may have been controversial even within the country music community, or at least with Zac Brown, it also propelled our Georgia boy to the top of both the singles and album chart simultaneously. Now, can we clarify the lyrics? “Floatin’ down the Flint River, catch us up a little catfish dinner, gonna sound like a winner when I lay her down and love her right.” EVERYBODY! “That’s my kind of night.”

“Drink A Beer” – from Crash My Party
Written by Jim Beavers and Chris Stapleton
It’s hard to believe Luke wasn’t a writer on this poignant piece, considering the loss of both of his siblings before he became a star, but that proves his true artistry. He immerses himself in the heartbreak of “Drink A Beer” with simple production, effortless delivery and that country boy warmth that makes it so sadly relatable.

“Strip It Down” – from Kill The Lights
Written by Luke Bryan, Jon Nite, and Ross Copperman
So, back to the sexy thing. Smoother production, torchy in a Michael Buble’ kind of way (albeit with a distinctive country boy twang), Luke takes his sex appeal up another notch or ten with a song that isn’t even subtle in explaining what is about to be stripped. And we don’t mind. Nope. Not one bit.

“Huntin, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” – from Kill The Lights
Written by Luke Bryan, Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins, and Ben Hayslip
Magic happens when this Georgia quad gets in a writing room together. Truth also happens and these lyrics are as sincere as any of the four friends. While they’re all living in pretty high cotton these days, thanks to the success of numerous hit country songs, it’s nice to hear lyrics extolling the virtues of red dirt riches. Not to mention, it just has a great groove.
