Summertime is made for festivals and festivals are made for people-watching. Observing all the weird and awkward moments of complete strangers could be an Olympic sport at this rate and where better to see all the randoms than at a Country music festival!? While attendees of these events can also be just normal folk, it’s always more fun to see the unexpected, if you know what we mean.

As we get ready and set for festival season to kick off, here is a list of twelve types of people you will find wandering around the country music grounds from time to time…enjoy!

1. Couples who never stop making out…ever: From in between sets to standing in line for a beer, these people seem to think they can’t waste any time not locking lips. Guess love makes people crazy?

2. The over-the-top fangirls: Their hair and makeup are always done up to a tee in case their favorite country heartthrob decides to pick them out of a crowd and marry them.

3. Cougar moms: Screaming over singers like Sam Hunt while their husbands stay at home, thinking they went on a “girls’ trip.”

4. The guy with a sunburn bad enough to make anyone cry for him: SPF 30 is not in this concertgoer’s vocabulary…or in his backpack.

5. The shirtless bros: Basically, these guys would start a country fraternity if they could. American flag apparel and backwards snapbacks included.

6. Confused tourists that bring everything they don’t need: Easiest targets to spot if they sport a vintage fanny pack that your mom wore to Disneyworld back in 1987.

7. That solo drunk woman that dances crazily by herself: You know, she’s always a little too into even the slowest of songs.

8. The selfie-stick enthusiasts: Their motto is known as, “Pics or it didn’t happen.” Throw up the awkward peace signs and duck lips for all those country singers to see!

9. People who nap in random locations: They believe anything from a bench to a trash bin counts as a bed. Goodnight.

10. The cute old couple who never stops holding hands: You may first ask yourself why they would come to such a crazy event, but you don’t even care what the answer is because you just aspire to find love like that one day.

11. Fans who “know” all the artists personally: Namedroppers, we’re looking at you.

12. The stereotypical country music fan: Bedazzled boots? Check. Belt buckles the size of Texas? Check. Don’t even get us started about those Bolo ties or ten-gallons.
