You know a hit is a hit when it earns a Gold certification, tops the country charts, gets streamed 130 million times and now, is a two-week No. 1—something that doesn’t happen much nowadays. That’s the track-record of Chase Rice’s hit single, “Eyes On You.”

“From the moment we wrote ‘Eyes On You’ we felt how special it was, and then that was confirmed when we saw how strongly the fans reacted to it right away,” recalls Rice. “My career has certainly had its ups and downs, but we knew we were putting the work in to set ourselves up for something even bigger.”

Penned by Rice with fellow hit songwriters Ashley Gorley and Chris DeStafano, “Eyes On You” was streamed more than 50 million times and hit Spotify’s U.S. Viral 50 Chart even before it was sent to country radio as a single.

But even with the fast success of his songwriting debut on Florida Georgia Line’s Diamond-certified No. 1 hit “Cruise” in 2012, it hasn’t always been a smooth-sailing journey for him. After the radio success of debut songs “Ready Set Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight” in 2015, his career struggled and radio success was few and far between. Soon after, Rice changed record label homes, and decided to “fight his way back to radio relevance,” as shared by The Tennessean.

Needless to say, after the long journey to where he is now, Rice is filled with immense gratitude for this significant career milestone both as an artist and writer. “To have it all pay off in this way makes me so grateful that I get to make music I’m proud of every day and makes me hungry to keep pushing for more. Thank you to every single person from the fans at our shows to the people playing our music on the radio for making this crazy dream of mine come true.”

Rice is fresh off directly supporting Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour last year and an advance run of his highly-anticipated Eyes On You Tour. For information on upcoming runs of his tour and more, click HERE.
