Garth Brooks is on a roll lately with all of the news abuzz about the country star and he’s adding to it by announcing that he will release his 11th studio album, Gunslinger, at the end of November.

The CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee recently just put out a new single to radio, “Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance,” which was quickly received by becoming the most added track to country radio this week. To follow up all of the latest success Brooks has been having, he decided that releasing an album of all new music for the fans would be the perfect way to send off 2016.

While Gunslinger may sounds like an interesting title to the fans, Brooks was inspired by its underlying meaning and knew this was the perfect introduction to the next chapter of his career.

“The album title came to me when somebody asked me what my favorite thing about being on the road was,” said Brooks. “I said ‘It just feels good to be out there being a Gunslinger again. Just aiming with the heart and shooting from the hip, that’s what you do on the stage, right? And, lucky enough, you’ve got the ammo of ‘Friends In Low Places,’ ‘Callin’ Baton Rouge,’ ‘Shameless’ and you do.  You’re a gunslinger out there. And each show’s different and you just shoot from the hip all night long.’ As soon I said it, I knew that was the album title right there.”

Before introducing fans to Gunslinger on its release date of November 28, Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, will be putting out their first-ever Christmas album together called Christmas Together. The holiday album from the two of them will be available on November 11.
