For Lady Antebellum, “Heart Break” doesn’t always determine bad things as they empower a young woman to break out of her relationship for some breathing room in the music video for their latest single.

Traveling down to Puerto Rico for the shoot, the video follows the adventurous story of an unnamed girl who escapes away from her partner to find happiness elsewhere in the streets of San Juan. Dancing with local strangers off the street to exploring the club scene, the lady finds freedom at last and with that comes unconditional happiness.

Lady A makes cameos themselves throughout the “Heart Break” video and they send all their love back to the country that inspired the mini-movie after the island was devastated by the recent hurricanes.

“Getting to shoot our video for ‘Heart Break’ in Puerto Rico was an incredible experience. We were in this beautiful, really vibey hotel and then we were also in this incredible bar in old San Juan. We got to meet so many locals and enjoy just everything that Puerto Rico has to offer, and so to see all of the devastation, we’re just completely heartbroken and we want to do everything we can to support this incredible place, these incredible people. We just hope and pray for their safety and that rebuilding happens quickly and that everyone gives whatever they can to help Puerto Rico and the whole Caribbean and truthfully, everywhere that’s been damaged by these hurricanes,” Hillary Scott said of the video.

Keeping the spirit of giving in mind after making the video in Puerto Rico, the country trio decided to donate their Lady AID funds to storm relief for hurricane victims and hope their small contribution can make a big difference.

“So for every concert that we play out there on the road, we donate a portion of our ticket sales to our charity Lady AID and this year, we spent some time down in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in the Old Town area and fell in love with the culture, the people and that country. Just a beautiful, beautiful place and our hearts have been completely broken watching the devastation from all of these hurricanes. So for us as a band, we decided to donate $150,000 towards the MusiCares Hurricane Relief Fund in an effort to do our part and support those affected by the hurricanes,” Dave Haywood said.

“Heart Break” marks the second single and title track off of Lady Antebellum’s most recent album, following the jazzy sounds of “You Look Good.” The band will hop on the next leg of their You Look Good Tour in Europe on October 1.
