Several country artists are celebrating the upcoming holiday season by releasing Christmas albums this year, and now a Country icon is adding her name into the mix.

On October 7, Loretta Lynn will release White Christmas Blue. The album drops nearly fifty years to the day since her very first holiday-themed record, Country Christmas, hit stores.

The collection will feature a combination of Christmas classics and originals, including “Winter Wonderland,” “Jingle Bells,” and “White Christmas.” Also featured is a re-recorded version of the title track of her 1966 album and the classic poem, “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

This album’s title cut was penned by Lynn alongside Shawn Camp, who also provides background vocals and plays acoustic guitar on the track. White Christmas Blue was recorded in Hendersonville, TN at the Cash Cabin studio with John Carter Cash (son of Johnny and June) and Patsy Lynn Russell, Lynn’s daughter.
