When we think of summer, we usually think about time off from school, spending time with old friends at home and possibly even developing a short three month romance that flies by. Those sentiments are highlighted in Luke Bryan’s latest song on country radio, “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset.”

Fueling the passion of the warmer months, Bryan sings “Sunrise, sunburn, sunset, repeat / Moonlight, all night, crashing into me / Nothing will ever be easy as you and me / Tangled up with nowhere to be / Just sunrise, sunburn, sunset, repeat.”

“‘Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset’ is, it’s a perfect song in my opinion.  It’s reflective,” he shared of the tune co-written by Zach Crowell, Ryan Hurd and Chase McGill. “It talks about love in a summer and summer love. It doesn’t get any better than summer love way back when. And then when you say ‘Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset, Repeat,’ that’s what you do in the summer. You wake up. You go get your tan on, and the sun goes down and you do it over and over.”

Bryan brought the song to the masses when he performed the track during the ABC special, CMA Fest, which filmed earlier this summer. The special aired Wednesday night on ABC, with performances from Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, Jason Aldean and many others. The show was taped during the four-night CMA Music Festival, held in Nashville, TN.

The 2019 CMA Music Festival will return June 6-9, 2019. Pre-sale is available now, with general on sale beginning Monday, Aug. 6. Visit CMAFest.com or call the CMA Box Office at 1-800-CMA-FEST for more information.
