Last night (6/9), Texas trio Midland –Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy, and Jess Carson — took the stage for a late-night performance at Spotify’s Hot Country (CMAxSpotify) event at Blake Shelton’s Ole Red on Broadway. For the superstar bar band it was a return to their roots, with fans packed wall-to-wall for the steamy Saturday performance. But between songs, including a rocking cover of Bob Seger’s “Turn The Page” and their newest single “Burn Out,” they got a shiny surprise.

Big Machine Label Group President and CEO Scott Borchetta presented the group with a platinum plaque to celebrate the success of their chart-topping single “Drinkin’ Problem.”

It was a cap on an exciting (and very busy) day for the band. After playing a rollicking and well-received first-ever set at Bonnaroo, Midland packed up and headed back to Nashville to play on the Spotify stage, where they wailed until nearly midnight.

Next up, the band will hit the road to continue their seemingly non-stop tour, with stops at festivals across the country all summer before teaming up with Thomas Rhett on his Life Changes tour this fall. There’s no burn out in sight for these hardworking performers.
