Honky-tonkin’ hit makers Midland have announced a brand new album, setting August 23rd for the release of their second LP, Let It Roll.

Produced by Dann Huff, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, the new album promises to find the good-timing trio tapping back into the throwback sound of their chart-topping debut, On the Rocks, as well as Top Five hits like “Drinkin’ Problem” and “Burn Out.” Fans have already gotten a first taste with the boot-scootin’ “Mr. Lonely” — a track which featured movie star Dennis Quaid in its video.

According to the band’s Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson, the new tunes stay true to Midland’s pure-country mission — and a big part of that is simply because they’ve stayed away from Nashville.

“We want to keep things fresh and real,” says Duddy, the band’s bassist. “The beauty of being in Dripping Springs [Texas] and spending so much time on the road, we don’t get caught up in what’s trending. We’re able to follow our hearts (and our livers) to where we think country is the best.”

“Everything we’ve learned out on the road touring On The Rocks is all right here on this album,” says front man Wystrach. “These songs are deeply personal and from the heart.”

“A lot of what was is still so cool, and with the help of Dann, Shane and Josh, as well as the support of [label head] Scott [Borchetta] and Big Machine, we’re able to be true to the music and keep our kind of country alive,” says guitarist Carson.

Pre-orders for Let It Roll begin Monday (June 10th), and Midland will be on the road through the end of 2019, with shows across the U.S., Australia and the U.K.
