Miranda Lambert Slays Television Debut Performance of ‘Vice’

Miranda Lambert is back and better than ever.

The country star went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! for the television debut performance of her latest single, “Vice.” Equipped with a seven-man band and a couple background vocalists, Lambert sounded incredible as she belted out the desolate tune. The track slowly rocked its way through, with Lambert taking full charge of her voice over the emotionally-numbing tune.

While she’s been known to captivate her audiences by moving about on stage, Lambert kept it simple and confined by merely standing at the microphone and letting her voice take full command. With guitar notes left strung in the air and an eerie sense of calm radiating throughout the track, it’s no surprise that “Vice” made the audience roar with applause.

Lambert recently spoke out about her new single, which many interpreted to be a translation of what she’s been going through over the past year. Quite the contrary if you ask Lambert—she told Billboard that “Vice”  has “nothing to read into” because everyone has their own crutch they keep going back to no matter what situation they’re in.

Fans can catch Lambert on tour throughout the rest of the summer with hopes set high for a new album to be released before the holiday season of this year. No definite word has been given in regards to a title for the album or a specific release date.
