2019 GRAMMY Awards to Honor Dolly Parton With Tribute Performance

Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry will help honor the musical legacy of Dolly Parton with a special tribute performance during the 2019 GRAMMY Awards.

The performance will honor the Tennessee native, who was named the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year of her creative accomplishments and her longtime support of programs through her Dollywood Foundation, including the Imagination Library.

“Dolly Parton has always been and continues to be a courageous trailblazer and indomitable inspiration for creators and artists—so for us to have the opportunity to honor her at our annual MusiCares Person of the Year gala is to pay tribute to a true pillar of strength and someone who we all look up to and cherish,” said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of MusiCares and the Recording Academy, upon the announcement. “With her legendary talent, she has forged a career that spans decades, and her gifts as a performer resound on both stage and screen. Dolly also knows the power of philanthropy and she has used her stardom to contribute to a wide range of causes from natural disasters to education and literacy programs.”

Parton will also take the GRAMMY stage for the first time since 2001, performing new music from the soundtrack of Dumplin’ (the project earned a GRAMMY nomination for producer Linda Perry in the Producer of the Year, Non-Classical category).

In addition to Parton’s tribute performance, the GRAMMYs will open with a collaboration between current GRAMMY nominees J Balvin and Young Thug, and GRAMMY winners Ricky Martin and Arturo Sandoval, with Camila Cabello. The performers join previous announced Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Dan + Shay, H.E.R., Post Malone, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monáe, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Diana Ross.

The 61st annual GRAMMY Awards, hosted by Alicia Keys will be broadcast live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on the CBS Television Network, Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.
