Alan Jackson to Release Gospel Collection, ‘Precious Memories’

Getting into the true Christmas spirit of giving, Alan Jackson is doing just that by releasing a two-part collection of gospel holiday songs called Precious Memories.

Starting out with Precious Memories as a thoughtful gift for his closest friends and family, Jackson was immediately urged by the receivers of the project to release it out to the fans, who they knew would love the production and sound of it all. Going along with the notion, Jackson combined it with a number of hymns he recorded a few years back and will put out the entire gospel collection exclusively at Walmart for everyone to pick up their own copies.

The two-disc project features songs from Precious Memories, Precious Memories Volume II and two new original tracks inspired by his wife. One of the songs, “It’s All About Him,” came about thanks to the title of his wife’s book and the other one, “That’s The Way,” is a sweet sentiment for the couple as it was the song Jackson serenaded to his wife on their special day.

As for “It’s All About Him,” Jackson just wanted to mirror the emotions his wife wrote about in her book and make it something even more meaningful in song form.

“Inspired by Denise’s strength and ability [in writing her book], I sat down and wrote a song of the same title hoping to add musically to an already uplifting story,” Jackson explained.

Precious Memories features 28 tracks total and will be released exclusively at Walmart on October 28. Fans can order the albums HERE.
