Ever since her time on NBC’s The Voice, RaeLynn has leaned on fellow country artist Blake Shelton for everything.

Bringing her out on the road with him earlier this year, Shelton and RaeLynn grew fond of each other as pals in the country community and the “Love Triangle” singer always looks to him for guidance in whatever she does. With his many years of experience within the industry, RaeLynn can trust him no matter the circumstances and always takes his words to heart.

“It’s amazing to have Blake a part of my life, because he is someone that I lean on for advice in the music industry. When I played him this song like right after I wrote it, it’s always been his favorite, but we never considered it for a record. So now he’s like, ‘Haha!’ He’s playing like, ‘I knew it was gonna be a single!’ He’s just so excited, like he feels that pat on the back like, ‘I knew what I was talking about.’ He’s just such a great example. He’s like a native in this business. He’s been in it for so long, so I’m very thankful for him,” RaeLynn revealed exclusively to Sounds Like Nashville.

Shelton not only holds the place of a mentor and a friend to RaeLynn, he’s also a huge fan of hers as well. RaeLynn always wants to take her fans into consideration when she releases new music, and decided to go along with “Lonely Call” because it became an obvious favorite with the crowd whenever she started to sing it out on the road during her sets.

“When it became a fan favorite, we did a poll and I was like, ‘What would you pick as the next single?’ It was hands down, landslide win was “Lonely Call.” I think that’s how you always should do it. The fans know. They know what they’re gravitating towards.

RaeLynn’s new single, “Lonely Call,” hit country radio airwaves and fans can find the song on streaming services or digital downloading sites.
