Blake Shelton and Usher may have gone head to head as competitors on The Voice, but on Tuesday evening (Sept. 12), the superstars came together for a good cause.

Teaming up on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry for a performance of the iconic track “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King, the pair took part in Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief.

Usher began the performance, evoking cheers from the packed Opry House. Shelton then joined in on the second verse as fans applauded and cheered more loudly. As the song continued, Usher and Shelton had fans singing along to every word. Fans can re-live their performance in the video above.

The duet was one of the highlights of Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief, which aired across all major networks on Tuesday. Shelton was on hand to co-host the Nashville portion of the event alongside Reese Witherspoon, while other A-list celebrities took part from New York and Los Angeles.

Nashville’s own Luke Bryan, Chris Young, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Bobby Bones, and Charles Esten were among the stars who volunteered their time to answer phones for the telethon portion of the event. According to ABC News, the event raised more than $44 million for hurricane survivors.
