The band’s back together again!… except there was never actually a band. Brad Paisley and Peyton Manning have teamed up for a new set of ads for Nationwide.

In a short clip posted to the insurance company’s social media, Paisley is seen in a studio, playing a guitar. He gets a FaceTime call from Manning, who is anxiously waiting outside for the singer so they can embark on a nationwide bus trip.

“We’re going on the road, man, gonna get some inspiration. This next Nationwide song is not gonna write itself,” says Manning as he stands in front of a tour bus.

To Paisley’s amazement, the bus is just outside of his studio as the former football quarterback is ready to hit the road. Manning doesn’t give the guitar slinger much of an option, encouraging him to team up and “get the band back together,” to which Paisley rebuts “we weren’t a band.”

The clip wraps with the iconic Nationwide jingle as Manning reiterates that the band is back together.

To follow-up, the company shared its second ad spot, with Manning and Paisley outside of a new home. The footballer pitches a song about home insurance, to which Paisley strums his guitar to begin. Quickly covering the strings and stopping him, Manning says the tune should be about auto insurance instead.

“Bundling home and auto, two songs in one,” he says. “What do you call that? A crossover?”

“No, more of a mash-up,” replies Paisley, who then rolls his eyes and turns to walk away.

Paisley first teamed up with the company back in 2016, when he was among the several acts invited to write a new jingle.

“There’s more to the @Nationwide jingle than just those seven notes…enjoy,” Paisley wrote with a tweet of his newly written song.

No word yet on what Manning and Paisley have up their sleeve in terms of a new Nationwide jingle, but we’re looking forward to seeing them, and their antics, on camera together.
