It’s been quite the road to recovery, but Carrie Underwood is finally on the up-and-up after suffering from a horrible wrist injury.

Keeping it a tad quiet about her status but sharing some updates along the way, the singer is almost back to normal after surgery and weeks of physical therapy to get her wrist in order. Although the battle saw both struggles and trying times, Underwood went on Instagram to report that she’s about to be back and better than ever before.

“Last check up on the old wrist this morning!! Thanks, Dr. Wurth and my PT angel, Renee, a.k.a. “Bulldog” for fixing me up!!! 😉 I’m good to go,” Underwood said, with glee.

Underwood took a tumble at her home back in the early days of November, causing her wrist to break among other injuries that night. The star admitted that she went under for 40 stitches on her face, as well as going through a surgery to fix the bones near her hand. Thanking everyone for their loving support throughout the process, Underwood hopes to presume her duties as both a performer very soon.

Although she may have been out for the count for the past couple months, that didn’t stop Underwood from keeping her commitment to release a brand new song in time for the Super Bowl this year. Teaming up with rapper, Ludacris, the two made for an uplifting and powerful song to pump up both fans and athletes for one of the biggest sports events in the world.

Underwood’s latest song, “The Champion,” is available to stream and purchase now.
