If any community knows how to raise money for a good cause and band together in support of charity, it’s the country music industry and their philanthropic approach.

Artists such as Lee Ann Womack, Jackie Lee, Randy Rogers Band and more showed up at AJ’s Good Time Bar in the heart of downtown to play a few songs for fans and industry members alike to aid the funding behind MusiCares. A silent auction also took place throughout the night, with items from people like Elvis Costello and Carole King as well as signed guitars from Dolly Parton, Eric Church and more.

As visitors enjoyed the night of live music where all the action of Nashville happens, they also brought it all back in order to help out people through the ways of the MusiCares organization.

The proceeds from the event will go back into MusiCares, which is known as the charitable portion of the Recording Academy who puts on the GRAMMYs every year. The mission behind MusiCares provides financial assistance toward medical or personal emergencies for musicians and related individuals.

Fans who couldn’t make it out to An Evening of Acoustic Country Music Benefitting People in Need can head over to the CharityBuzz website to bid on the online auction items through May 4.
