How the Video for Danielle Bradbery’s ‘Goodbye Summer’ is Providing Hurricane Relief in Florida
“Rosemary Beach has always been a special place to me, especially now that we captured its beauty in this video,” said Bradbery.
When it came time to film the music video for her Thomas Rhett-collaboration “Goodbye Summer,” Danielle Bradbery chose a picture perfect shooting location: Rosemary Beach, FL. The spot is one of her favorite places, but just weeks after filming the clip, the beach town–and much of the surrounding Florida Pandhandle–was damaged by Category 4 Hurricane Michael.
“Rosemary Beach has always been a special place to me, especially now that we captured its beauty in this video,” shared the songstress in a press release. “I knew I wanted to help out the local community after Hurricane Michael hit, and the Rosemary Beach Foundation is the perfect organization to partner with. They were immediately providing meals and supplies to the people who lost everything, and now they’re distributing funds to local organizations involved in relief efforts – supporting everything from the rebuilding of homes to purchasing supplies for local schools.”
As she hopes to help rebuild the beach that stole her heart, Bradbery is thankful she was able to capture the beauty of what Rosemary Beach has to offer for the reinvention of her song “Hello Summer.”
“It has been amazing to see the storyline of ‘Goodbye Summer’ played out,” said Bradbery. “The video shares the emotions that come with a summer love. Shaun Silva had such a beautiful vision for this video and really brought it to life. It was a lot of fun to have Thomas Rhett join me for the shoot in one of my favorite places, 30A.”
“Watching this song grow since I first recorded the demo has been really fun,” added Rhett of the track he co-wrote with Jaren Johnston and Rhett Akins. “30A was the perfect place to bring the video to life…we had a blast shooting it.”

The wistful track is a remake of Bradbery’s “Hello Summer” which appeared on her sophomore album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met.
