It has been four years since Danielle Bradbery fans have gotten a new album from The Voice winner, but good things come to those who wait. The singer, who just released the carefree summer single “Sway,” is hard at work on her second album.

“All I’ve ever wanted to do was relate to people through my songs, and I’ve worked so hard to get to a point where my lyrics and sound are true to me. I put my heart into ‘Sway’ and all of the songs on the upcoming project, and I think fans will feel that come through when they listen,” the Texas native shared.

The new album is going to revolve around many of Bradbery’s own personal experiences, especially the tracks about relationships. It all stems from her current relationship, which has unfortunately been a bit of a bumpy roller coaster lately.

“I’ve been going through an up-and-down relationship just emotionally and personally, because I love the guy, and I don’t want things to end,” Bradbery told Taste of Country.

In the midst of her struggles, she did what most songwriters do, which is her turn her songwriting into a form of therapy and use the album as a diary of her emotions.

“I’ve gotten in a writing room and just sobbed my eyes out because I’m like, ‘this happened literally this morning,’ and it just helps,” Bradbery explained. “I’m like, ‘You know what? Let’s throw it on the record. It’s real.’”

Songs that come from such a real place are the ones that fans can relate to the most, so expect to hear some great tracks on Bradbery’s album.

Danielle Bradbery’s “Sway” is out to country radio now, and is available for fans to stream or purchase.
