‘Strawberry Wine’ Singer Deana Carter and Jim McPhail Exchange Vows in Florida

After singing of a past love in “Strawberry Wine,” Deana Carter is looking forward to a life with a new love after marrying Jim McPhail on July 6, 2018.
During a private ceremony at The Pearl Hotel in Rosemary Beach, Florida, the couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends, including Carter’s 13-year-old son, Gray. Carter, who was given away by her brother Jeff, wore a high-neck halter gown and a delicate tiara while McPhail donned royal blue pants, a white button-down shirt and tan blazer.
“This is a special time for both of us,” Carter and McPhail shared with PEOPLE in a joint statement. “We are extremely blessed to have met during this season of our lives and blending our families into one happy one.”

The couple first met in 2017 through mutual friends and quickly fell in love. They’ll soon split their time between their homes in Los Angeles and Santa Rosa, Florida.
Carter is best known for her song, “Strawberry Wine,” from her debut album Did I Shave My Legs For This?. The song earned her a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Female Vocal Performance, as well as a win for Single of the Year at the CMA Awards.
