Jennifer Aniston dove headfirst into the beauty pageant world when it came time to film her latest movie, Dumplin’. Aniston stars as a former beauty queen and mother, whose plus-size teenage daughter signs up for the contest as a form of protest, encouraging others to follow in her footsteps and revolutionize the pageant.

Throughout Dumplin’, the young girl turns to the music of Dolly Parton for inspiration and confidence, with many of the songs appearing in the film. Parton was so central to the film that the filmmakers invited the living legend to assist with the soundtrack and including some new original material.

Because of her involvement, the singer spent many hours with Aniston, something the actress won’t soon forget.

That’s for sure!

“She’s magic,” shared the former Friends star during an interview with InStyle. “I remember the first thing she said to me when she walked into my house. I said, ‘I don’t know how you do everything you’re still doing.’ She said, ‘Well, I dreamed myself into a corner, and now I gotta live up to it.’”

Aniston, who spilled that Parton will release a whole album of the new music upon the movie’s release, added that she and the singer slipped into a screening with fans, sharing that Parton had to keep quiet in order to maintain her anonymity.

“When Dolly and I watched the movie together, we were in a theater full of people who didn’t know we were sitting in the back. During one of the funnier parts, she’s stifling her laugh and whispers to me, ‘They can’t hear my laugh. They’ll know my laugh,’” recalled Aniston. “A couple of minutes later I look over and she’s crying, and she says, ‘But they don’t know my tears.’”

Dumplin’, starring Jennifer Aniston and Danielle Macdonald, hits theaters later this year.
