When Dolly Met Dolly—The Cutest Meeting Between Dolly Parton and Kimberly Schlapman’s Daughter

From one generation to the next, Dolly Parton continues to make dreams come true and this time she made the day of one famous fan by the name of Kimberly Schlapman.

The Little Big Town member ran into Parton backstage at the Kenny Rogers farewell concert and couldn’t waste the opportunity to have her youngest daughter meet the country music legend. Giving even more meaning to the meet-and-greet besides just fan appreciation, Schlapman’s baby girl happens to share the same name with Parton and the rest is history.

“Dolly meets Dolly!!! @dollyparton thank you for lovin’ on my Dolly. 💗 📷 @reid_long,” Schlapman captured the adorable meet-and-greet. All parties involved looked beautiful in the spontaneous meet-up, with both Dollys smiling ear-to-ear over their time spent together.

Schlapman has even admitted that her daughter’s name was inspired completely by Parton due to her close connection in country music and the uplifting spirit Parton always creates whenever she walks into a room.

“I mean, Dolly Parton, yes, has inspired my whole life,” Schlapman explained to Sounds Like Nashville and other media at a previous event. “My husband is the one who thought of us naming… When we had hoped and prayed for this baby, this was my husband’s idea, so it’s perfect. I love it.”

The Little Big Town singer announced her family was expanding back in January of 2017 with the adoption of their little one, Dolly Grace. Schlapman and her husband already shared another daughter, Daisy, together, who was over the moon about her new sister.

Little Big Town will perform at the 51st Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, November 8, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
