Dolly Parton proves that she’s still got it with her new album, Pure & Simple, taking the No. 1 slot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart this week.

The country queen released her new album to great response by taking not only the top spot on the U.S. Billboard Charts, but also in countries like Canada, the U.K. and Australia. The album earned the No. 1 slot with a number of 20,000 units sold.

This record marks Parton’s 43rd studio album of her career and her first album on her joint venture through Dolly Records and Sony Music Nashville. Her voice, as classic and timeless as ever, shines quite brightly even after all this time of being in the country spotlight.

Pure & Simple also holds a sweet spot in Parton’s heart as she co-produced and wrote every song on the project. When she found out she was at the top, she expressed her excitement and was thrilled to still find great success throughout her long-lasting career.

“Boy, it’s a good day for me. I am a happy girl! It feels great to be #1 as it’s been a long time and it feels so good to still be in the game after all this time,” she said with great happiness.

Fans can purchase Pure & Simple on digital music retailers and in select stores, like Cracker Barrel and Walmart, now.
