A fire blazed through the clubhouse at the George Strait-owned Tapatio Springs Resort in Boerne, Texas on Saturday (Nov. 4).

No injuries were reported, however, a statement posted to the resort’s Facebook page revealed that the building “is a total loss” after the fire.

According to News4SanAntonio.com, emergency crews responded to the fire around 7pm local time on Saturday. About 20 people were evacuated from the building as crews from five departments battled the flames.

“Given the Clubhouse serves so many different purposes essential to our member and guest experiences, Tapatio Springs Hill County Resort and The Club is closed indefinitely,” an official statement from the resort posted early Sunday morning (Nov. 5) reads.

Strait performed at the resort just one week prior to the fire, raising $1.4 million for Feherty’s Troops First Foundation, which benefits wounded service men and women.

The legendary entertainer purchased the report with local entrepreneur Tom P. Cusick Jr. in 2011.
