The sixth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards will return to Los Angeles in 2019, and this time, will honor superstar artists with special awards. As part of the 2019 lineup of honors, three lucky artists will named the recipients of the Innovator Award, Artist of the Decade and Fangirls Award.

The 2019 show marks the inauguration of the Artist of the Decade Award – going to country music icon Garth Brooks. The award honors recipients who have impacted the music industry on a worldwide scale, becoming one of music’s most successful and beloved artists.

Over the course of his career, Brooks becamse the top-selling solo artist in U.S. history. He also was named the first musician to earn seven-diamond selling albums. After a multi-year hiatus to take care of his young family, Brooks returned to the country music scene in 2014 with Man Against Machine and again in 2016 with Gunslinger. His latest project, Fun, is expected later in 2019.

Also slated to be honored is Alicia Keys, who has been named the Innovator Award honoree for her efforts in pop culture and social causes as an artist, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur and activist. As the founder of She Is the Music, Keys works to provide women more opportunities in the music industry. She is also the co-founder of Keep A Child Alive, an organization that combats the effects of HIV on children, their families and their communities.

Pop star Halsey will receive the iHeartRadio Fangirls Award, which recognizes female artists who have pushed boundaries with her music and inspires fans around the world.

The 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards are live from the Microsoft Theater on March 14 from 8-10 p.m. ET (tape delayed PT) on Fox. The show will broadcast across iHeartRadio stations and through the app.
