George Strait holds the crown as the king of country music, so he’s taking a gamble by finishing his 2018 touring run with two massive shows planned for Las Vegas.

The singer’s Strait to Vegas program began as a simple six-night engagement back in 2016, but exploded onto the scene with high demand enough to expand the show into the following year. Turning the idea into a well-known Sin City tradition, Strait will call it quits in the Nevada town with his special performances in December.

Joining Strait for his big hurrah will be Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen, who both hold titles as icons in country music as well. It won’t be the first time that all three Texas natives take the same stage as they put together a charitable campaign to raise money for hurricane relief in their home state after the devastation hit hard back in 2017.

Not only does Vegas get to spend a lot of time with Strait over the next year, but the legend will travel to cities for shows in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas throughout the early summertime.

Strait’s final shows of the year will be held on December 7 and 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Fans can find out more about tickets on the Strait to Vegas official website.
