"You can be drinking a Hi-C or a Jack and Coke and it doesn’t matter. It’s a fun, feel-good song for the summer," said the singer.

Summer is the perfect time to get your favorite fruity drinks on ice and celebrate the good times. To help ease into a season of beachside partying, Chris Janson is offering up a hit with his brand new single “Fix A Drink.”

Whether you’re a Jack and Coke kind of person or enjoy a margarita on the rocks, the new tune will get you in the right mood for mixing your favorite kind of libations.

“But I can fix a drink / Pour it on ice / Mix it on up and get you feeling right / I can get you buzzed / I can get you smilin’ / I can make you feel like you’re sittin’ on an island / I can make it fruity / Or I can make it strong / All you gotta do is tell me what you want / Put it to your lips / Take a little sip / Tell me what you think / Yeah I can fix a drink,” he croons in the chorus.

“I wanted to be a part of something with my co-writers that made people feel good,” Janson told Nash Country Daily of the song he wrote with Ashley Gorley and Chris DuBois during a recent interview. “Everyone knows that I’m not an alcohol drinker anymore, but what a lot of people don’t know is I love the whole mixology subculture. You grow a big Civil War beard and you learn how to mix a cool drink. If I could grow a beard like that, believe me, I’d be a mixologist, 100 percent. I can fix a drink, and my drink of choice is a cold can of Mountain Dew, but I can fix all kinds of drinks. I’ve done it for years. And then when the song idea for ‘Fix a Drink’ came together, it felt like a no-brainer. It just works. You can be drinking a Hi-C or a Jack and Coke and it doesn’t matter. It’s a fun, feel-good song for the summer.”

“Fix A Drink” is the lead single off Janson’s forthcoming sophomore record.

“The album is going to be out no later than August. I’m excited about it because I really had time to write this record,” shared the singer.

The track officially hits country radio on May 22, but is currently available for downloading on iTunes.
