Seems like Harry Styles is impressed much by country icon Shania Twain as he looks up to her for a number of things in his life.

The former One Direction member spilled on his admiration toward Twain’s outfitting and musical stylings from her most popular era in the 90s. While Styles didn’t necessarily side with a favorite look of hers, he still admitted that he follows her lead when it comes to both style and music.

“I think both music and fashion, [my] main influence was probably Shania Twain,” Styles said to Entertainment Tonight backstage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. “Yeah, I think she’s amazing.”

The two actually crossed paths back in late September, where Twain shared a picture with Styles backstage at what looks like a show of his and couldn’t get enough of his choice of clothing.

“ @Harry_Styles’ suit,” Twain wrote to her followers.

While Styles remains more in the pop and rock departments, he continues to marvel over country music in subtle ways. During a Spotify recording session, he created his own cover of Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” to fans’ approval and even played it a couple times live during his tour in 2017.

The “Sign of the Times” singer also invited Kacey Musgraves to open up for him on his massive world tour slated for 2018. She’ll travel across the country during the U.S. portion of the shows, playing to crowds from New York to California.

According to Styles’ online schedule, Musgraves’ first date with the pop star will be in Dallas, Texas, on June 5. Tickets are available online now.
