Fatherhood Comes Before Everything Else For Jake Owen

Music may be Jake Owen’s passion and career, but he takes his role as a proud father even more seriously now that he realizes how fast his daughter is growing up.
Reflecting back on his recent social media posts and shares, Owen found out that most of the pictures he showed to fans online happened to be his little girl. Although he enjoys the outlets as a way to get his music out to the masses, he noticed that his daughter, Pearl, always tops any sort of post about a new song or an album release.
He also gave a shout-out to his dog, who also takes up a big piece of his heart alongside his baby girl.
“I’ve realized when I look at my pics I’ve posted, I’ve been putting up a lot of photos of my little girl. That’s because she’s what makes me proud. This is a platform where we can share “content” with the world, family, friends, and yeah… my fans. My life isn’t just pictures of me strumming a guitar or crowds with lighters in the air. She’s my life, and everything else comes second. That’s why I’m posting this photo. And oh yeah, I love my dog too,” Owen admitted in his post.
Pearl was born on November 22, 2012, which just so happened to be Thanksgiving Day that year. Ever since Owen and his then-wife, Lacey Buchanan, split up, the singer cherishes any time he gets to share with his daughter and makes the most of their bonding time.
