Jessie James Decker is a jack of all trades. In addition to being a devoted mother and wife, she’s also a recording artist and entrepreneur. All of the skills and life lessons she’s acquired over the years have now come together for her upcoming book, Just Jessie: My Guide to Love, Life, Family, and Food.
In the book, Decker covers a variety of topics, most of which relate to her real life. From postpartum depression to online criticisms and even work, Decker covers it all.
“I’ve had my hard times and ups and downs, just like everyone else, and I want to be able to share my experiences in hopes that it helps someone else,” she shared with PEOPLE via email.
Among the topics covered in the book is Decker’s recording career. When asked if she’d been back to songwriting or in the studio since her baby was born, the songstress shared that new music is in the works.
“I have started back in the studio recording my Christmas album,” she revealed. “I am breastfeeding Forrest exclusively right now so I have to bring him everywhere with me. He has been amazing and is so chill. [He] goes with the flow so I can honestly say I have not had a fit yet. He’s the easiest baby.”
Keeping her family close is an incredibly important issue to Decker, despite the many directions her projects are pulling her. But through it all, the supermom keeps things in check with a balanced schedule.
“My main priorities are to be a good mother to my children and a good wife to Eric,” shared Decker. “My family means everything to me. If something disrupts that or gets in the way of taking care of my family then I just don’t do it. I’ve learned that balance over the [past] few years. They are my everything.”
Just Jessie: My Guide to Love, Life, Family, and Food is set for release on October 2, 2018. It is available for pre-order now.
