Hello? It’s the ’70s calling!

Kacey Musgraves channeled the disco era for her funky “High Horse” music video. Directed by Hannah Lux Davis (Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Halsey), the clip shows Musgraves working away in an office, surrounded by less than ideal coworkers. Specifically, it’s a creepy guy and a frustrated older woman who really grind her gears. Slipping into a daydream, Musgraves envisions herself telling off her office enemies during an all-out disco affair.

The singer looks fresh in a silver bodysuit as she dances with her friends. The fashion doesn’t stop there as Musgraves later twirls about in a gorgeous rainbow-colored dress.

The disco-themed video isn’t a far stretch from what inspired Musgraves to write the song. While working on her new album, the Texas native was intrigued by the sounds of the ’70s and looked to the Bee Gees for inspiration.

“I was on a huge Bee Gees kick whenever I was making this album and I was intrigued by the thought of a world where Bee Gees kind of meets country music,” Musgraves said in a video interview with the BBC’s Zane Lowe. “These days I only see music really as falling into two genres: good or bad.”

“High Horse” is featured on Musgraves’ latest project, Golden Hour, out now. Check out a clip from the video above.
