Keith Urban Surprises New Jersey Crowd With Acoustic Version of ‘Stupid Boy’

After hitting the road nearly two months ago, Keith Urban is nearing the halfway point of his highly-anticipated Graffiti U World Tour. As he nears that milestone, the singer decided to switch things up for his packed crowd at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey.

The singer, who normally performs “Where The Black Top Ends,” decided to unplug and perform his hit “Stupid Boy.” The decision came after his duet partners, Larkin Poe, got stuck in Atlanta and were unable to make it to the show on time. Explaining to the crowd that the song is one of his most requested, Urban appeased the audience for an unforgettable acoustic version of the Dave Berg, Deanna Bryant and Sarah Buxton-penned ballad.

While the moment was a throwback to the 2006 release, Urban maintained the rest of his set, featuring many of the new songs from his latest release Graffiti U. Fans familiar with the project got to jam out to “Coming Home,” “Parallel Line” and “Drop Top,” his collaboration with rising country powerhouse Kassi Ashton.

Joining Urban on the road this year is budding country superstar Kelsea Ballerini, who joined the guitar slinger on stage for a duet on “We Were Us.” Ballerini also opened the night with her own set, featuring her No.1 singles “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs” and “Legends.” Her time onstage wasn’t complete without a massive sing-along to her smash sensation, “Peter Pan,” which closed out her set.
