Give them a faded jean jacket with neon graffiti on the back, and the members of Lady Antebellum have the swag to go full-on hip-hop. The award-winning trio did just that on Monday night (March 6) on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The GRAMMY winners traded in their classic country harmonies for “Mashup Monday” on the popular late night talk show to duke it out with 90s rap group, Bell Biv DeVoe. Performing a combo of Lady A’s massive hit, “Need You Now,” with the vintage stylings of “Poison,” the groups threw down together on stage to create a best of both world collaboration.

Deeming themselves ‘Lady AnteBell Biv DeVoe,’ the crossover stunned the audience with their retro revival of “Poison” featuring Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott’s vocals on top of the track and Dave Haywood busting it out on the key-tar. Bringing the funky beat into the solemn piano notes of “Need You Now,” Scott commanded the stage as Bell Biv DeVoe laid their spoken word over for a conversational performance.

This special performance marks the first time Lady Antebellum has worked alongside any rap group, but it definitely will make fans want more of the upbeat grooves pumping through the boombox.

Lady Antebellum is currently promoting their single, “You Look Good,” which will be featured on their forthcoming album, Heart Beat, set to release later this year.
