Time quickly wound down on this season of The Voice, but the contestants didn’t lose steam as they each commanded the stage during their last performances on the show.

While Team Adam lost its final member just a week before the two-night finale, Team Blake brought two hopefuls to the mix with Kyla Jade and Spensha Baker representing the country star strong. Jade revisited the memories of her previous position as a background singer for Wynonna Judd by teaming up with Shelton for a duet of her “Only Love.” Unlike her past, Jade shined beyond the spotlight created by Shelton and made her mark throughout the performance.

Jade continued her power into her rendition of “With a Little Help From My Friends” by The Beatles. The contestant transformed the pop-rock classic into more of a jazzy number, proving her unique sound compared to the other voices. A moment was truly made, though, when Jade performed “The Last Tear” to a roaring sound of applause and hopefully votes at home to boot.

Using her country-soul approach yet again, Baker tried her hand at Kacey Musgraves’ “Merry Go ‘Round,” and portrayed the raw message behind the song with her passion in her vocals. Shelton guided her even further during their duet of Tanya Tucker’s “Tell Me About It,” which stretched the boundaries out for Baker and her sound.

Baker’s shining moment lied within her performance of “Old Soul,” where she let the romantic notion of the track progress her into her true star status. She took the time to not rush when it came to hitting each note, letting the song flow beautifully rather than quickly.

The finale episode of The Voice will air tonight, May 22, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
