Lindsay Ell Jams in ‘Waiting on You’ Music Video

"Like a sailboat wishing for the wind to blow / Like a fast car looking for the green to go / I'm right here, baby / Don't keep me waiting on you," she sings in the John Mayer/Sheryl Crow-influenced track.

Lindsay Ell is showing off her slick guitar skills in the music video for her single “Waiting On You.” Filmed in a Nashville, TN warehouse, the singer/songwriter shines in the Peter Zavadil- directed clip as she croons about waiting on her man to make a move.

“Like a sailboat wishing for the wind to blow / Like a fast car looking for the green to go / I’m right here, baby / Don’t keep me waiting on you,” she sings in the John Mayer/Sheryl Crow-influenced track.

“As an artist, I came to town really trying to find what I wanted to sound like and I think it took me years of doing the wrong thing to finally find the right thing,” shared Ell in a video about the song. “And ‘Waiting On You’ was the first song I could honestly be like, ‘That’s me.’ If I was given three minutes that somebody who’s never heard my name before to really hear what’s going on in my heart, and hear what I’d sound like, ‘Waiting On You’ would be it.”

“Waiting On You” is Ell’s current single and appears on her six-song EP, Worth The Wait. The track will also appear on her full-length albumThe Project, set for release in August.
