There’s no better way to officially announce a tour than to bond together for a medley on late night television, or at least for Little Big Town and their opening acts.

Letting Midland take the reins first during their performance on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the traditional country trio settled into their addictive debut hit song, “Drinkin’ Problem.” Running through the quirky chorus, Midland introduced themselves well to the studio audience complete with their old school country vibe.

Kacey Musgraves took it from there by playing her first-ever single, “Merry Go Round.” Singing the very last chorus of the tune, including the ‘Jack and Jill’ ending verse, Musgraves channeled the raw emotion she inserts into each of her tracks and gained great applause for her efforts.

It was Little Big Town that rounded out the routine with a cover of ELO’s “Don’t Bring Me Down,” but with a country twist. They formed their four-part harmonies together with Midland and Musgraves alike for a powerhouse finale that left everyone, including Fallon, clapping and dancing along to the beat.

The country collaboration came out of announcing LBT’s upcoming spring tour for 2018, in which they’ll be taking Midland and Musgraves along on what’s been deemed The Breakers Tour. Hitting cities from the East Coast to the Midwest and everywhere in between, each of the tour mates expressed their excitement over the endeavor via social media all day on Wednesday when the news first broke.

The Breakers Tour will first stop in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on February 8, with dates lined up through the end of April. Little Big Town even hinted to fans online about the grand possibility of adding more shows to their run as the weeks progress onward.

Tickets for The Breakers Tour officially go on sale on Friday, September 22. Fans can find out more details regarding the tour on Little Big Town’s website.
