Time to deck the halls because Christmas has come a little early this year!

In a true holiday miracle, Luke Bryan has recorded and released a brand new version of “O Holy Night” for fans to enjoy this Christmas season.

For Bryan, the decision to record “O Holy Night” was an easy one as he grew up singing it in church. Due to the song’s spiritual nature, the superstar decided to add minimal production when recording the track.

“We just did piano and strings. We didn’t do any fancy production of click tracks. We just kinda let it feel organic and real,” Luke explains. “I didn’t spend all day singing it that particular day. I just felt like the big man upstairs was on my side singing it, and it was a very emotional, uplifting feeling while I was in the vocal booth, and probably one of my better vocals I’ve performed in my career.”

This isn’t the first time a country star has recorded the tune, as Martina McBride and Brett Young also have their own versions available.

While “O Holy Night” may be Bryan’s only foray into the Christmas music scene this year, fans can also enjoy his 2008 recording of “Run Run Rudolph” from the Country For Christmas compilation album. The record includes songs from Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins, Little Big Town and Rodney Carrington.

Bryan will likely take “O Holy Night” to the stage when he performs on the upcoming CMA Country Christmas special. Filmed at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN, the show will feature performances from Kelsea Ballerini, CB30, Dan + ShayBrett EldredgeAlan JacksonLady AntebellumLittle Big TownDustin Lynch, CeCe Winans, Trisha Yearwood and Chris Young, as well as host, Reba.

Luke Bryan’s “O Holy Night” is available on iTunes now and his upcoming album, What Makes You Country, is set for release on December 8.
