Maren Morris really knows how to blur the lines between genres, especially after teaming up with EDM DJ and hitmaker Zedd on a new collaboration.

Not giving too many details about the project, Morris posted a promo pic of the cover art for the song dubbed as “The Middle.” The track will also feature another artist by the name of Grey.

Zedd also kept on the hush-hush about the collab, but did tease the song on his social media channels as well as posting an unconventional video clip without audio to promote “The Middle.”

The country singer is no stranger to working with other artists; she and Thomas Rhett reached the No. 1 spot on the country charts in 2017 for their time on “Craving You.” Morris also snagged a singing gig on pop singer Niall Horan’s debut solo record of last year, in which the pair performed the folk-sounding song called “Seeing Blind” at the 51st Annual CMA Awards in November.

Morris will take her baby step into pop even further beyond just collaborations in the studio as she hits the road with Horan as the opening act on his Flicker World Tour in 2018. The two made plans to travel across the country, hitting cities in both the east and the west to combine their acoustic sounds into one solid lineup.

Fans of Morris’ can pre-save “The Middle” to their Spotify playlists now, in preparation for its release on Tuesday, January 23, worldwide.
