Hold on to your highest hopes, Maren Morris fans, because some new music may be hitting your speakers sooner rather than later.

The country star got a little emotional on her Twitter feed late Thursday night (Jan. 4) while reminiscing back to the beginning of her big move to Music City. Celebrating the leap of faith that eventually led to gradual success throughout her time in the music industry, Morris shared a picture of her humble beginnings from the moment when she filled up a U-Haul truck to leave Texas and follow her dreams.

“The day my mom and I packed a u-haul and drove the 10 hours from Dallas to Nashville. Found roommates on Craigslist and haven’t left East Nashville since,” she wrote with a sweet snapshot attached.

She also went on to praise Nashville for changing her life and leading her on the road to triumph in such a little amount of time.

“Just realized today is my 5 year anniversary of living in Nashville. It was just as cold as today was, and I had as much hope in my heart in 2013 as I do today. Bless this beautiful place & the dreams it made come true,” she continued.

So what’s going on with the music part? As the singer remembered the good times back when she was fresh on the Nashville scene, she responded to a fan about what lies ahead in the near future. Although she didn’t expose too many details, Morris alluded to something new coming very soon.
