Before celebrating the Christmas holiday, the singer/songwriters gathered with family and friends in Morris’ home state to toast their engagement.
The “I Could Use A Love Song” singer took to Instagram to share a cute snap from the soirée, which took place on December 23.
“A proper Texas engagement party, complete with ring shots,” she wrote, along with the hashtag #GettinMurd.

She later returned to Instagram to share additional photos from the party, including some with her husband to be in a playful photobooth.
Morris and Hurd got engaged in July while visiting Hurd’s family in Michigan over the Fourth of July holiday. They’ve spent the past few months planning for their big deal and are feeling pretty confident about the way it’s all coming together.
“The hardest part is the guest list! But I feel like we have all the cornerstones of the wedding planning out knocked out now — the location, the timeline, the guest list, and we got a deejay. I think the rest of it is just details,” Morris recently explained.
According to Billboard, the couple plans to tie the knot on Saturday, March 24.
