Listen up ‘girls’ (and guys!) — Country singer Maren Morris has announced the next chapter of her musical journey with the release of her sophomore album Girl.

Set to arrive on March 8, the project is the highly-anticipated follow-up to her breakout debut HERO.

While she has yet to reveal the track-listing, she told Billboard that the album will be full of songs encouraging empowerment and self-acceptance.

“The first half of the album is very self-reflective, and it’s more about me,” she told the outlet. “Then the second half of the record transitions into me being the counterpart to somebody else.”

Since releasing HERO in 2016, Morris has had many major life changes, both professionally and personally. Her marriage to fellow singer/songwriter Ryan Hurd played as a huge inspiration behind the songs featured on Girl.

“I think that’s been a really beautiful side to being a touring musician: You never see the person, you miss them all the time, and he’s a musician as well, so we’re constantly writing with each other or about each other. A lot of these songs reflect that. [Ryan] actually wrote a couple of songs on this album with me. I feel like I’ve grown up more in the years since I released that album. And this is the timestamp of that,” she shared.

The Girl-era will be chock-full of music from Morris as the singer has plotted a massive world tour, featuring special guests RaeLynn and Cassadee Pope. The trek begins March 3 in Chicago, IL, and travels across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Pre-order for Girl begins at midnight on February 8.
