Morgan Evans Adds Some ‘Tequila’ to ‘Day Drunk’ in New Mash-Up
Country crooner Morgan Evans combined his single "Day Drunk" and Dan + Shay's "Tequila" using his guitar and trademark pedal loop.
Rising country star Morgan Evans delivered an impressive mash-up of his hit single “Day Drunk” and Dan + Shay’s GRAMMY winning song “Tequila.”
Cleverly titling the mash-up “Day Drunk On Tequila,” the Australia native uses his smooth vocals, stellar musicianship and signature loop pedal to blend the two songs together with ease. He also somehow finds a way to effortlessly transition between the rowdy, party-ready lyrics of his own summer jam and the more somber themes present in the Dan +Shay track.
This project was likely inspired by Evans’ time supporting the country duo on the sold out first leg of their tour in the spring. The country crooner is currently set to spend his summer playing high-profile festivals like Off the Rails Festival, Carolina Country Music Festival, Country LakeShake and Faster Horses.
Evans will also hit the road to support Rascal Flatts on their Summer Playlist Tour, and he recently a string of European shows for his own world tour.
