Worlds will collide in December when GRAMMY Award-winning group Old Crow Medicine Show and pop superstar Kesha team up for an all-new episode of CMT Crossroads. This episode continues the show’s 15-year tradition of pairing country music acts with trailblazers from other genres for one-of-a-kind renditions of the biggest songs from each act.

With six albums under their belt, Old Crow Medicine Show has proven to be one of the greatest gems in the country roots genre. They are two-time GRAMMY Award winners, including the 2014 award for Best Folk Album. Their most recent project, 50 Years of Blonde on Blonde, is a live tribute to Bob Dylan’s 1966 Blonde on Blonde album.

This is not Kesha’s first run-in with the country crowd. Her latest album Rainbow has several tracks with a stripped down style influenced by her childhood in Nashville, including a collaboration with Dolly Parton on the track “Old Flames (Can’t Hold a Candle to You).”

“I grew up on country music, it was the first music I sang, listened to and wrote as a child, and I’m especially stoked to be collaborating with Old Crow Medicine Show,” Kesha told CMT. “I’ve always admired early country artists…and the outlaw attitude of some of those early country artists who helped create rock ‘n’ roll. To me, Old Crow Medicine Show epitomizes that attitude and wildness while also being amazing songwriters and performers.”

CMT Crossroads tapes in Nashville and will premiere Wednesday, December 6 at 10pm ET/PT on CMT. Past pairings on the show include Maren Morris with Alicia Keys, Luke Bryan with Jason Derulo, Thomas Rhett with Nick Jonas, Jennifer Nettles with Cheap Trick and Charles Kelley with Rob Thomas and more.
