With a busy touring schedule ahead, the men of Rascal Flatts show no signs of slowing down as the trio is eagerly working on new music. In a photo posted to Instagram by the band’s Jay DeMarcus, new tunes from the acclaimed trio may be here sooner than fans think.

“New Flatts music, coming at ya soon!!!,” he wrote with a photo of his computer and keyboard, alongside the hashtags #workinglikeadog, #newflattsmusic and #Flatts2018.

Reminding DeMarcus of exactly why he does what he does were two sweet notes stuck to his computer from his children, Madeline and Dylan, with one of them reading “I love you Daddy.”

The new music will be the highly-anticipated follow-up to the Flatts’ 2017 album Back to Us. The album, their 10th, was one the men admitted was a enjoyable process to create.

“It was an absolute joy getting to make this record. We didn’t have any pressure on us, any time constraints,” the group’s Joe Don Rooney told Sounds Like Nashville at the time. “Scott Borchetta and Big Machine just said, ’Take your time with this, guys. When the music is done, I want to hear it. I trust you guys to go in and find the best songs you can find and do your thing.’”

“I think with the way that the album was mixed, our vocals are at the forefront, like they were in the beginning of our career,” added lead singer Gary LeVox. “Everything just organically fell into place, really just the way God had it handed to us.”

Rascal Flatts’ Back to Us Tour, featuring Dan + Shay and Carly Pearce, will run through September 2018.
