Joyous news for fans Scotty McCreery comes in the form of his new song, “Wherever You Are.” The singer has just dropped the instant gratification track off his upcoming album Seasons Change that is sure to help appease listeners’ appetites for what’s to come.

With fiancée Gabi Dugal as inspiration, “Wherever You Are” is a promise from McCreery to the love of his life that he’s willing to go the distance just to see her, going over leaps and bounds to be with her no matter her location in the world. The sweet track, penned by McCreery, Frank Rogers and Dan Isbell, shows off the country star’s distinct voice and pure songwriting skills. “Up in Manhattan / Or way out in some cabin / In the middle of nowhere / Well baby I’ll be there / Wherever you are, wherever it is / Baby it ain’t too far,” he sings over a welcoming melody that is bound to make you want to sing along.

The American Idol winner is gearing up for the release of Seasons Change on March 16. The album is his first release on his new label home, Triple Tigers Records, and is his fourth studio album following No. 1 debuts with Clear as Day and See You Tonight.

“For the first time, I wrote all the songs on my album,” McCreery says of Seasons Change in a press release. “It’s kind of my journal of the last few years: the ups and the downs. Whenever I think things are not going well, I’ve learned to just wait it out because the seasons change. If you want to know who I am and where I’m at right now, listen to this album. I feel like I’m having a conversation with everyone that listens. It’s that personal.”

The album’s lead single, “Five More Minutes,” is making its way up the country charts. Seasons Change is available for pre-order now.
