See Country Stars’ Childhood Halloween Costumes

Cue “Monster Mash” by Bobby Pickett and throw on your ghoulish get-ups because it’s officially time for Halloween!

The trick-or-treat season finally flew in on its witches’ broom to haunt and howl all night long on that October 31 holiday. While children and adults alike don costumes worthy of a laugh or a scream, country stars follow the terrifying trend of swapping their daily attire for that of a horror movie.

Growing up, many of the biggest names in country music chose to transform into their favorite characters for just one night of frightful fun. Imagine Cole Swindell making a power pose at your front door in his superhero uniform or Carrie Underwood hopping up the front porch steps with a Jack-o-Lantern pail in hand waiting for a fun-size Snickers to drop in her bucket—just like us, the famous faces still indulged in their spookiness for one night a year.

Sounds Like Nashville collected a number of throwback photos to get into the Halloween spirit and possibly inspire the masses to dress up in a unique ensemble worthy of a ‘Boo!’ or two.
