Thompson Square and BBR Music Group’s Stoney Creek Records have parted ways.

The duo’s publicist confirmed the news Thursday (July 13) via press release. Stoney Creek was Thompson Square’s label home since 2009.

“It’s bittersweet leaving our Stoney Creek Records family,” Shawna Thompson said in the release. “So many memories have been made and so many goals have been achieved.  We will be forever grateful to Benny and Carolyn Brown for their faith in our artistry.  It has changed our lives forever.”

“All good things must come to an end but we look forward to the future and to new beginnings,” Keifer Thompson added. “We are extremely excited about this new chapter of our life and what it means for our music and our fans.”

Thompson Square is best known for the mega-hit “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,” which became their first chart-topping single. During their time at the label, the duo earned three No.1 hits and charted five Top 20 singles.

Although the husband-and-wife duo may not have a label to call home at the moment, that isn’t stopping them from making new music. Keifer and Shawna are currently in the studio working on new music with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum).
